1. Tell us a bit about your hometown. Where do you insist on taking out of town guests?

I live in the inner north of Melbourne, Australia. It's full of restaurants and cafes so there's always a choice of where to eat although my current favourites to share with friends are Neko Neko for vegan Japanese and Sartoria for breakfast. The laneways are covered in street art and if you travel to the north side of the city there are some amazing pieces by Adnate, Kaffeine, Dvate, and Smug. Nature isn't too far away either and I love taking friends cycling along the scenic Merri Creek trail.

2. Where is your favorite place to take your Po Campo?

I love scenic rides and the best time to explore is Sunday morning when I can cruise the backstreets of Fitzroy and Collingwood looking at old and new street art. The pieces always change so it's always exciting to find something fresh and of course take a photo of my bike with my Po Campo handlebar bag that I use to hold my essentials.

3.  A favorite tip (or two) about how you incorporate mindfulness and healthy habits into your daily life?

Commuting to work by bike would be my top tip as it's a great way to reset the mind and a fast and cheap way to get to work, even in the rain. You will feel better for it and more energised to start the work day. Pack your own lunches or buy a bunch of groceries to leave in the fridge and make salads or sandwiches at work and then use the money you save to treat yourself.

4.  A suggestion for women who are interested in biking but have safety concerns?

Talk to others about your riding and fears. I recently helped a colleague transition from footpath riding (which is illegal if you're over 12 years old here) to riding safely on the road by just explaining how to take the lane to avoid close passes by vehicles. Also you don't need to wear high vis to be seen, use front and rear lights at all times and add something reflective to your bike bag instead.

5.  Secrets for managing helmet hair?

Always lift your hair off your neck as you ride to avoid sweating as this is what makes your hair look terrible. Dry shampoo is fantastic for freshening up but if you have hot summers then find a few styles that work for you like a side plait or side pony tail. Always have hair ties and bobby pins on hand for quick fixes.

6. Favorite biking memory?

An early morning ride to the beaches in Sydney with my lovely friend, Frances. We chatted the whole way and stopped to watch a beautiful sunrise over the water and a gorgeous fluffy cat came over to see us.

7. If you could have dinner with anyone (living or dead) who would it be, and why?

George Michael because he seemed like a nice guy and was my first ever crush as a kid.
